If you would like whiter teeth, you have plenty of products to choose from at your local pharmacy or supermarket. However, many of these products have chemicals which bleach your teeth and, if you would like to go the natural route, you also have plenty of options! The first step is to try and avoid the foods and drinks that are causing your teeth to appear yellow. These could include coffee, red wine, dark sugary drinks, and tea. Smoking can also cause teeth to look yellow, so if you smoke, you may want to consider quitting!

Whiten Your Teeth
Oil pulling is not as scary as it sounds but is simply a teeth whitening method where you wash your mouth with oil to remove bacteria and dirt. In addition to brushing twice a day, this method can whiten teeth and prevent cavities. Brushing your teeth with baking soda is another great option as this gently polishes away any surface stains. Don’t worry if you feel baking soda is too harsh because research has shown that it is safe! Hydrogen peroxide is a gentle bleach and can whiten yellowed teeth. If you have sensitive teeth, this may not be the best method as it increases sensitivity. Simple brush with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, and you could have great results!
Many fruits can assist in teeth whitening, such as papaya and pineapple. These fruits contain a special enzyme that is said to help whiten your teeth. If in doubt, try it as this method is safe! Of course, it goes without saying that maintaining good dental hygiene is one of the best things you could do to prevent yellowing teeth. If you brush twice a day (with a good fluoride toothpaste) and floss, this goes a long way in preventing stains and decay.
